  • The Education Foundation of Morris Plains is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit volunteer organization that raises funds for innovation in education for all students in the Morris Plains School District. We have provided more than $100,000 to fund worthy projects in all grades that were outside the district's regular budget.

  • The Education Foundation of Morris Plains (EFMP) raises funds through applying for outside grants and by hosting unique, community-building fundraisers. These have included our signature Strides for Education 5K Walk/Run; Harlem Wizards vs. Morris Plains Teachers and staff basketball games; Beer & Bites craft beer and food tasting; A Toast to Excellence wine-tasting; Marvelous Homes of Morris Plains house tour; and more.

  • The EFMP can use as much or little of your time and talent as you can spare! We are looking for enthusiasm and expertise in event planning, attracting sponsors, marketing, social media, grant writing and more. Thank you to supporters of the 2025 Morris Plains Garden Tour!

On June 22, the Education Foundation of Morris Plains hosted its third successful Morris Plains Garden Tour fundraiser. Many thanks to the generous hosts who shared their glorious gardens: Nancy Boyajy, John Lovelsmith and Elizabeth McCrea, Marianne Steckert, and Pete and Becky Vardakis. Special thanks to John Lovelsmith for his outstanding gardening artistry at the Borough School Garden and the Daisy Troop Wildflower Garden at Mountain Way School.
